Originally from Hutchinson, MN, I relocated to Fargo-Moorhead area in 2009, and have called the area home ever since. My wife and I currently live in the small town, where she grew up, but we have dreams of one day living on some acreage. We have two biological children and in 2015 we became foster parents, which we have adopted through that process. Despite running out of arms to hold children, our favorite family activites are outside. Whether it is biking, hiking or going on road trips, we find ways to see new places.

Attending MSU-Moorhead for Graphic Communications and Film Production is what drew me to the area. Animation was my first passion, but the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of web development took over. Since HTML5/CSS3 greatly expanded the animation and video options for web, it has been especially rewarding to see the two worlds begin to meld together. There is always something new to learn in web development and not only are those opportunities exciting, but being able to teach and mentor others is another passion I have in the industry.

Apart from spending time with family, I enjoy photography, hunting, archery and throwing people out from center field. In 2016, our church sent a small missions team to Kigali, Rwanda to aid our supported missionaries. Since then, I work part-time with them state-side to create media materials for use in raising support and growing the mission. It has been a great way to get involved, help a great cause and return to videography.
